XII Latin American Botanical Congress
Quito, Ecuador, 21-28 October 2018
The Grupo Ecuatoriano de Liquenología (GEL) is excited to announce our scholarship program to support Latin American students of lichenology attending the XII Latin American Botanical Congress to be held in Quito, Ecuador 21-28 October 2018
With the generous support of two anonymous donors we are offering two stipends to sponsor students attending our Lichenology Symposium (each stipend $1,000). Applications will be considered only for students who currently work on lichens in Latin America or early career professionals who graduated recently, in the past two years, with a research project in Latin American lichenology (bachelor, master, or PhD).
The successful applicant has to present his or her research during our Lichen Symposium at the XII Latin American Botanical Congress. This oral presentation will be 12 minute long, with three minutes questioning time.
The deadline to apply for these sholarships has been extended until April 30th, 2018 . A committee formed by the Grupo Ecuatoriano de Liquenología (GEL) will assess each application and reach a decision no later than April 30, 2018.
